Real-time Correlation

Energy data streams are parsed in real-time and correlated to each other, to static master data, and to historical data analytics.  Any time the defined criteria are matched, a specific visual cue appears on the web-based screen dashboard.  For example, a constant stream of hourly LMPs can be compared against a time-weighted average of LMPs over the last two years, such that if any single new value breaks out of a percentage band around that average, that location on a map can be lit in red.

Real-time Visualization

Energy data is visually organized around business-driven criteria, and updated in real-time.  For example, a web-based map of the footprint of an RTO is lit up with points at which LMPs are published.  The color of each point indicates the level of the price, while clustering of prices within meaningful price proximity causes separating bands to appear on the map.  This visual cue of grid congestion can be used to substantiate the value of a CRR portfolio in real-time.

Real-time Analytics

The analytical results of historical data are updated incrementally in real-time in order to drive ad-hoc decision making.  For example, in specified intervals, the analytics can be re-baselined from the sliding window of historical data.  The visualization of the analytics includes aging cues and potential drift indicators.
