October 2008 – Power Catalyst realigns major projects to respond to slippage of nodal market launches

Power Catalyst customers are impacted by the delay of nodal market launch in ERCOT, triggering a reassessment of business value, drivers, and timing of delivery. In one instance, Power Catalyst developed a revised plan, review of the project, candidates for "low-hanging fruit," and recommendations on using the change as an opportunity to address project governance, infrastructure, and delivery issues. The project has passed review and is driving to realize the value of momentum, delivering business value that can be realized and used to improve business operations ahead of nodal market launch. As a result, the delayed market transition itself will have significantly smaller disruptions on the business.
