May 19, 2005: Power Catalyst presents at EUCI Utilities Business Intelligence Conference in Chicago.

Power Catalyst was honored to participate in the annual EUCI Business Intelligence conference for utilities. The conference spanned a broad review of projects, practices, and techologies. In light of the confidentiality requirements on Power Catalyst's ISO/RTO projects, Michael Leppitsch brought a consolidation of observations and recommendations. Starting with the ad-hoc beginnings of most typical BI projects, the presentation walked through the types of decisions often made. In route, Michael illustrated a set of project management tools that support the creation of a strategic objective, while meeting immediate tactical needs. A final summary of two major Power Catalyst projects illustrated the broad diversity of problems encountered in BI projects.
