• Analysis of integration requirements of a Fortune 500 wholesale energy company, to prepare for a major replacement of transactional systems to meet a transformation in market structure.
• Development of vision for data management investments of a Fortune 500 company, driving the implementation of a multi-year effort toward a real-time information enterprise.
• Development of a complete data dictionary for the wholesale market operations of a Fortune 500 company, modeling all internal and external data flows for the enterprise.
• Design and co-development of a specialized transactional data platform, providing shared data persistence services to a suite of custom transaction and analysis applications.
• Management of a multi-million dollar offshore software development effort, delivering a business repository implementing data persistence and provisioning services.
• Design and co-development of custom master data management solution meeting a broad set of mixed reference, master, and selected transactional data needs.  This solution is distributed across trade desk, generation control rooms, and business analysts.
• Detailed analysis of state-wide generation maintenance management systems for compliance with regulatory initiatives, establishing de-facto standards to reduce the cost of implementation.

Integration Strategies

Power Catalyst experience includes architecting and designing integration strategies for RTOs, energy companies, and major global system providers.  We typically use a brief assessment to define the scope and success criteria of an integration effort, resulting in a project vision, roadmap, detailed project plan, and initial risk assessment on which to base a comprehensive integration strategy. This approach creates the foundation for all Power Catalyst integration projects.
